Floating lid tank
Although the lid doesn’t actually float, this description is often used when talking about a variable capacity lid because the lid appears to float above the level of the liquid inside the tank. In fact, the lid is being held in position because of the tube that is inflated around the rim of the lid, which wedges the lid at any chosen height.
Oil floating lid
A slightly inferior version of the inflatable type lid that we supply. These lids don’t have the same tube around their circumference, which holds the lid at a certain height. Instead, this lid uses a type of oil or Vaseline to create a seal against the inside of the tank wall.
